I became interested in creative textiles when my husband gave me a felt picture by Moy Mackay. I absolutely loved the colour and textures and wondered how she had made it. This simple inquiry led to me becoming a textile workshop addict, as I explore the seemingly endless variety of techniques. Sadly, I have yet to make anything that I love as much as Moy’s picture, but I’ll keep trying!

I love bright colours though I also like to work in monochrome. I travel when I can and am now trying to use my own photographs to inspire my work.

I enjoy going to the Ribble Creative Stitchers workshops because they give me an uninterrupted day a month, to spend with like-minded people, doing what I love whether it be stitching, felting, batik or whatever. Everyone is friendly and helpful – but not in an intrusive way, which I find suits me.
