My interest in textiles started back in 1995, when I took a creative textile course at Blackburn – just 2 hours a week, as a hobby. I actually wanted to do an art course, but there wasn’t one available, so settled for textiles. What a good decision that was!
I particularly enjoy stumpwork and collage, as well as working with transfer dyes. I’m motivated by landscapes and places that I’ve visited.
I enjoy mixing with other embroiderers and seeing the wide range of individuality in their work. Being a member of Ribble Creative Stitchers encourages me to try new techniques and to be more adventurous in my work.
