Before I retired my craft work was limited to knitting, crocheting, flower arranging and photography. My Grandmother was my main influence as a child.

Since retiring I found I had time to explore other crafts and even today I will always try something new and challenging. My husband says I have a very good eye for colour and combinations. This is a theme in all my work whether it is for watercolour painting, beading, embroidery, quilting, knitting, crocheting or mixed media.

Looking at my library I have been influenced by Alison Holt (machine embroidery), Annemieke Mein, and Jane Nicholas (stumpwork), David Bellamy (watercolour).

I have been part of a prize winning team for the WI winning the group entry in flower arranging as well as individual entries and was part of a beading group that won the Beadworkers Guild annual prize for our interpretation of the work of Antoni Gaudí.

My latest interest is Bavarian Crocheting.
