Elnaz Yazdani Contemporary Goldwork workshop - 16 January 2021

Our March workshop is with Elnaz Yazdani, who is a contemporary jewellery maker and embroidery teacher. Our workshop will be Contemporary Goldwork – see image below.
Elnaz will provide all the equipment and materials for the workshop at a cost of £5 each, which is in addition to the workshop cost of £18. Obviously you’ll be able to take home the fabric and sample that you’re working on,  but not the equipment. Please bring your glasses, your hand-sewing kit and an embroidery hoop, if you have a favourite. 
£16 kits have been ordered by Ruth, Sue C, Margaret, Jane A and Linda G. £13.30 kits have been ordered by Jane H, Carole H, Pauline, Sharon and Sylvia.

Jacqui Smith Silk Painting workshop - 19/20 February 2021

The cost of this workshop, which starts on Friday evening and continues into Saturday, is £21 for members. Additionally there is a mandatory £5 charge for materials, which will cover the costs of the silk, gutta, paints etc used in the workshop.
Jacqui will bring some silk for you to purchase to take home with you.
Max of 22 students.
Please bring with you:
  • Any particular source material you wish to use for inspiration – JacquiI will bring a load with her, plus books, but if theres anything in particular you’d like to have a go at?!)

  • Apron or an old shirt (or wear something you may not mind getting paint on!)

  • Brushes – ( soft / synthetic round brushes – not bristle brushes)

  • Water pot (Jacqui be bringing some so don’t worry, its not essential)

  • Kitchen Roll

  • A hairdryer, if you have one

Kate Ryan Nuno Felting workshop - 15 May 2021

Our May workshop is with Kate Ryan who will be teaching us nuno-felting. We will make a scarf.
Kate will provide the hand-dyed silk and wool fibre that you’ll need. This will cost £15 each and will be payable direct to Kate on the day.
The cost of the workshop is £18.
