Our membership comes from across Lancashire, including Clitheroe, Preston and Lancaster, and also from surrounding counties. Many are also members of the Embroiderer’s Guild.
We all have different levels of expertise and experience but share an interest in creative textiles. Some of the techniques that we enjoy are hand and free-machine embroidery, felting, dyeing, printing, batik, quilting, patchwork, knitting, crochet, beading and so on. Some people prefer to use traditional needlework techniques, whilst others love to experiment with new products and techniques. Most like to do a bit of everything!
We welcome new members, whether experienced or beginners. Anyone who enjoys textiles can come along and enjoy what we do. You’ll receive a warm welcome and find that we’re a friendly and supportive group.
Annual membership is £15.
Saturday workshops cost £18 for members and £22 for non-members (subject to availability).
Friday evening talks are £3 and are open to members and non-members alike.
Fees are reviewed annually.
From time-to-time we exhibit our work at a local gallery. These are images from our 2017 exhibition at the Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington:
